On a daily base, we work, we interact with people, we speak at the phone, we get emails and we check social medias.
Have you ever wondered if any of those matters are having a negative influence on you?
All these activities require time, some more some other less, but what about energetically?
Ever spoke to someone leaving you a sense of heaviness? Read an article that didn't seat well with you?Had an email or a message that you found irritating? In this case, your energy has been taken.
Firstly, you should make a quick diary. A note on your phone will do. Divide the day in timing associate to your main tasks. Including, mostly, scrolling socials or those minimal things you would normally not notice or give much importance.
Go through a day paying attention if it's something aligned and supporting your vibes, or if it's something taking
your time and energy. You will find also activities that are neutral. Neutral ones matter only to your productivity, not necessarily to your energy.
If you are like me, very productive and efficiency oriented, this will sound like spiritual guru stuff. It is not.
It's way more practical. I have spent time and taken classes and course with mental fitness gurus. I have tried to bring the practical tangible, leaving all the traditions and belief oriented activities.
Remapping your energy simply allows you to follow your energy levels. If your recovery and nutrition is well set, you should be the freshest in the morning, progressively getting tired towards the later parts of the day.
Switch all those things that are heavy energy consuming, when you have more energies.
Task you find demanding, face them at your most relaxed and energised.
Tasks which are easier can be done later in the day. This will avoid mental and energetic rollercoaster.
Silly example, you wouldn't have your 1M sales call at 10pm.Ideally you must be at your sharpest.
TThe more advanced in career, usually the more melted is the border between life and work.
This is what people refer to as work-life balance. In my opinion, all it takes is a simple mental switch. It is not related to reducing work time or any other things.
Those are personal life choices, therefore to address with a therapist perhaps or with a best friend.Energetically, you must divide your work from your life. Often and most commonly, people are confusing both. Your work, your business, your occupation, your contracts or whatever... are not your life. They are a tool to acquire wealth, interest, power or whatever you are doing it for.
Your life, it’s you. You in your privacy, in your thoughts, your passions, your love, your very own unique persona.
This must not be polluted or confused with your work life. Absolutely common, especially in top performers, is leaving bad bits from one side, influencing the opposite side. You must divide problems in these two groups, and treat them as such.
Life boundaries based on your own choice. You first or your work first, doesn’t matter, your free will.
Just act in full capacity and consciousness. That way you will amplify the capacity of both sides.
Furthermore, you will recognise reactions or mental triggers which lead you to bad vibes or bad reactions.
This is as well an energetic matter. Break down your mental patterns, analyse them, ask yourself why you are triggered and try to reprogram your output.
It is never about hiding or avoiding, that’s no solution, actually it makes the problem gain momentum.
Just go through everything, replanning the outcome. This time in your favour.
It costs nothing and you don’t need to sign up or talk to anybody about it. Totally free to try and you can see great benefits within a few days. You will gain confidence and improve your self-worth.
You will feel more empowered in conversations and when taking decisions, about life or work.
You will experience an overall more grounded mental well-being. This is also part of mental fitness.Bringing your mind to a level of elasticity which will allow it to never be stretched. More balanced in your feelings and more proactive towards what normally would trigger you. Emotional health matters and this is a simple procedure to benefit your life and your work.
